Tina MacNaughton

Hi, I’m Tina MacNaughton and I am a fully qualified acupuncturist. I have a BSc (2.1) in Acupuncture and trained at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Castle Street, in the centre of Reading. I have a Licence to practise acupuncture and am a member of the British Council of Acupuncture which demands high standards of training, safety and hygiene and professionalism.

I have undertaken extra training in tui na massage, facial acupuncture, gynaecology, the treatment of addictions, mental-emotional illness and sports injuries. I have a special interest in women’s health problems from menstruation difficulties, menopause and infertility.

Acupuncture does not always lend itself to clinical research, but please visit the British Acupuncture Council website www.acupuncture.org.uk if you would like to view research studies to evidence the effects of acupuncture on specific health conditions.

I love acupuncture because it works on so many levels – the process of diagnosis satisfies my need for mental challenge and stimulation, whilst I appreciate that that I have a wide range of practical skills that enable me to improve the physical, emotional and spiritual health of patients.

I also enjoy the social side of interacting with other people on a daily basis and enjoy getting to know my patients and watching them thrive on acupuncture!
